You could say that Modern Roots founder Kelli Etheridge is a bit obsessed with fermented foods; she has a fermentation bucket list – a long list of fermented foods and drinks she’d like to taste and make.

Modern Roots grew from a need for fermentation supplies on the island. When Kelli began to ferment her own food she had difficulty locating fermentation supplies to make the process easier. Today, she wants to bring all the accessories together that are needed to begin fermentation at home.
