Tonight’s Paint Night on the Farm was such a success, and we’re feeling incredibly grateful. Thank you to everyone who came out, picked up a brush, and shared the space with us. Watching everyone create, laugh, and connect was exactly what we hoped for.

Thank you for supporting the farm, our animals, and these little moments of creativity and community. We already can’t wait to do it again. 🎨 🐐 🐴

It was a hard start to the farm today. Not only did we lose one of our original goats, Loverboy, but we also had to say goodbye to Trax.
Both held special places in our hearts and in the story of our farm. They will be deeply missed, and their presence will never be forgotten

It is with great sadness and shock that we share the loss of Loverboy today 🤍
Loverboy was one of our original goats and held a very special place in our hearts and on the farm. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Though he is gone, his legacy lives on. Loverboy has many successors, and we will continue to see him reflected in so many of them every day.
Run free, sweet Loverboy 🌈🐐

We were so excited to welcome CTV to the farm today! 🎥🌲

They stopped by to chat with us about one of our favourite post-holiday traditions — feeding Christmas trees to our goats. Keep an eye out for the interview airing tonight!

You can still drop off your real Christmas trees any day between 8am–4pm. Feeding Christmas trees to goats has many benefits, from enrichment to natural nutrition — and our herd absolutely loves them.

✨ Important reminder:
Please make sure trees are free of tinsel, fake snow, ornaments, lights, or decorations before dropping them off.

Thank you for supporting our goats and helping us give your Christmas trees a second life! 💚🐐

A little Canadian History
Image of courtesy of Broadview Museum

A goat named Bill was pulling a cart in a small town in Saskatchewan when a train, carrying soldiers on their way to fight in the First World War, stopped. The girl who owned Bill let the soldiers take him along as a good luck charm. Mascots were not supposed to go to the front lines, but the soldiers had become very attached to the goat so they hid him in a big crate and took him with them.

Sergeant Bill, as the goat was called, was a big help. He saw action beside his human friends in many battles, including one where he pushed three soldiers into a trench just seconds before a shell exploded where they had been standing.

Despite being wounded several times, Sergeant Bill survived the war. Once the fighting was over, he was even part of a big parade in Germany, proudly wearing a fancy blue coat with his sergeant stripes. He then returned to his hometown where he was reunited with his owner.

Tally’s Goat Milk Products

Our Story

Our farm started in 2013 to help my veteran husband deal with his service related PTSD. Since then we have grown the farm from 2 horses to 5 horses, 3 donkeys, 1 mule, and 30 goats. The initial purpose of our farm was for therapy, and it still is; however, after having to leave my career to care for my husband, I wanted to make sure our farm could keep operating in order to help others. Because we had dairy goats, I thought why not make soap. I did plenty of research into which oils would have the highest benefits for all areas of the body, including hair. And VOILA!
