I am going to share my plexus story today, because it may offer hope to some of you. My periods use to be very heavy, and my day 1 and 2s was better spent at home. Usually curled up on a soft chair not feeling great, and doing nothing other then getting up frequently to go change my pad.
I started taking Plexus supplements March 14 2024.
Specifically the vitalbiome( probiotic that also helps mood) slim microbiome ( helps to balance blood sugar and other good things), x factor- a methylated multivitamin that also helps those that have the mthfr gene absorb vit b in a form that their body accepts, and biocleanse (a magnesium that helps to remove the garbage from your body).
I had had enough- I had just gone through a terrible week of truly awful pms. I was tired of being tired all the time. Tired of being irritable and grouchy. I didn't have the energy I wanted to be able to keep up with my kids etc. I was on a few different supplements and had tried a few things. So with my husband's encouragement I joined. In hopes that things maybe would turn around like I had seen for so others and my friend's own plexus stories.
I noticed “die off” day two of starting my products. I had never had that reaction with any other probiotic I had tried. I was very surprised! I didn't think I would notice anything. I noticed the puffyness under my eyes disappeared. I was going to the bathroom more often. My metabolism was getting better. A month in, I noticed a huge change with my period. It was no longer crazy heavy and I wasn't curled up in a chair with a heat pack feeling nauseas if I was up and around and cramping. Instead I went for a walk, I puttered around.
My energy was slowly coming back, my husband commented that I wasn't as wasted at the end of the day.
Month two ...I recovered faster after having a flu-usually it took close to a month after that type for my energy to come back, and my period was still better. Even if I was still having trouble sleeping, I could make it through the day. Keeping up with my kiddos better.
Month ¾ I noticed that sugar cravings were less. There were a few times, where I tried something I had eaten in the past was just too sweet and just seemed gross. I joke I crave cheese now instead of chocolate before my period.
Am I where I want to be yet, no-but it's coming. The changes in the past few months have been both big and small and subtle. There are foods that bothered me in the past that I think I can handle a little better.
I have been realizing over and over again how important it is to have a healthy, properly functioning gut-it literally affects everything else in your body!
