If you’re like me you’ve been doing some yard work, gardening and running here and there.
Summer is the best, but so busy!

I’m not complaining, but some of my body parts are! It’s great to be able to move and be sore from good hard work. Nothing better than that.

If you need that bit of a time out though, just give me a call😁

Was chatting with my Uncle John today and didn’t realize that my Grandpa was both in the Canadian Airforce and the Army. His name was Frank Hesse.

He and his younger sister and brother were at home in Germany with their mom while their dad came to Canada to buy some property around Busby.

While he was here, WW1 broke out, so the family was apart for a few years. Sadly my Grandpa’s mom died during this time and the kids were farmed out to 2 families, working hard for their keep. I remember some of his stories.

The family was finally reunited on Canadian soil when my Grandpa was 12 years old.

My mom was born in 1930, so she was a kid during WW2.
She told us stories of being beaten up at school because her last name was Hesse…that’s all…she was a Hesse.

So sad all the unnecessary wounds we inflict on each
other…💔

My great Uncle Henry was also in the Airforce and spent time in a concentration camp.

To those of you who have decided to stand in harms way to keep those of us at home safe, there is no “Thank You” great enough to convey the appreciation I feel. Thank you and my God Bless you and Protect you always. 🇨🇦 🇨🇦🇨🇦
