“With great power comes great responsibility”
- Uncle Ben, Spider-Man
It’s so easy to love cupping but it’s also very simple to “overdo” it.
One of my favourite activities that we do and the certified cupping therapist level one class is go on social media and look up cupping massage.
We talk about how what we see online is what our clients see online. This is our client’s perception of what cupping may be like.
My goal is your instructor is to make sure every single person is delivering safe, comfortable, and effective cupping massage treatments that have rationale and makes sense based on each clients health conditions.
Social media is always asking us to like, share, or comment on posts.
I could tell you endless horror stories about experiences that clients have had (but I won’t because that list will be way too long and that’s not what time I’m trying to promote on the internet).
Today I don’t want you to do anything other than to reflect on how you use tools in your practice.
Intention will always be a part of any tool you use in massage.
