Green Acres Foundation is celebrating its 66th anniversary today! 🎉🥳✨

Green Acres Foundation was established on April 11, 1960, originally in partnership with four municipalities, Lethbridge, County of Lethbridge, Coaldale, and Nobleford. The Foundation was created to oversee the new Green Acres Lodge in Lethbridge, which opened its doors on September 1, 1960.

Hali Heavyshield visited one of our communities for National Indigenous Languages Day on March 31.

Hali shared her art and explained the process and meanings behind her work. Residents asked her questions and learned a few new Blackfoot words, such as “Likaakiimaat,” which translates to “try hard, do your best, keep going”.

Congratulations to Elaine, Ted, and Joe for guessing correctly and winning the challenge! Great job everyone, and a big thank you to Ben! We raised $35 for our Resident Activity Fund.😊
