Whether you're summiting a peak or exploring your local trail, ankle injuries are one of the most common hiking mishaps. Uneven terrain, loose rocks, and fatigue can all lead to sprains, strains, or even fractures.

🩺 Common Injuries:
• Lateral ankle sprains (most frequent)
• Achilles tendon strain
• Peroneal tendon injuries

🚑 What To Do If You Get Hurt:
🔹 R.I.C.E. – Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation

Also known as lateral epicondylitis, this is pain on the outside of your elbow caused by inflammation or tiny tears in the tendons from repetitive motions—like swinging a paddle.

😵‍💫 Why It Happens in Pickleball
Overuse of the wrist and forearm muscles during play

Improper grip size or paddle weight

Poor swing mechanics

Playing too much too soon (we get it—it’s addicting!)

Warm up your arms before play

Fast footwork. Sudden stops. Intense pivots. ⚡️ Soccer is thrilling—but your ACL might be at risk.

🧠 What’s the ACL?
The Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) is a key stabilizer in your knee. It helps keep your shinbone from sliding too far forward and plays a major role in quick direction changes.

😬 Why ACL Injuries Happen in Soccer
- Rapid cutting and pivoting
- Landing awkwardly after a jump
- Direct collisions or tackles
- Playing on uneven or slippery fields
ACL injuries often happen without contact—a sharp turn or sudden stop can do it.

✅ How to Prevent ACL Injuries
- Strengthen the Legs & Core: Hamstrings, glutes, and quads should be in balance.
- Warm Up & Stretch
- Proper Cleats: Wear the right cleats for the field to avoid slips or snags.
- Avoid Fatigue Play: Most non-contact ACL tears happen when athletes are tired.

💡 Treatment Tips
- If an injury occurs to the knee and ACL is suspected, it is important to see medical
assistance to ensure the right treatment and recovery to reduce further damage.

Golf is a relaxing sport—but your lower back might not always agree! Here's why this is one of the most common injuries and how to keep swinging strong.

🧠 Why It Happens
The golf swing involves repetitive twisting and bending, especially during the backswing and follow-through. Poor technique, lack of core strength, or overuse can strain muscles and joints in the lower back.

✅ How to Prevent Low Back Strain
Warm Up Properly: Light cardio + dynamic stretching for hips, back, and shoulders.

Strengthen Your Core: A strong core reduces the load on your lower back. Planks, bird-dogs, and bridges help.

Improve Swing Mechanics: Work with a golf pro to make sure your form is efficient and balanced.

Use Proper Footwear: Stable golf shoes help with alignment and reduce torque on the spine.

Avoid Overplaying: Give your body rest days, especially after 18+ holes or range sessions.

💡 Treatment Tips (If You’re Already Hurting)
Rest; It may be time to take a step back from your golf game. We are all excited to start golfing again but we don't want to jump back in to quickly.

Gentle Stretching: Hamstring and hip flexor stretches can relieve pressure on the lower back.

Bracing: lumbar or SI joint back brace can be beneficial to support and alleviate pain at the back. These can be used during or after play to keep that back feeling good ( Available at HiTech Bracing)

A low-impact sport perfect for all ages, golf combines skill, precision, and patience.
🔹 Common Injury: Low back strain — often from poor swing mechanics or overuse.

⚽️ Soccer
High-energy and team-driven, soccer builds endurance, agility, and coordination.
🔹 Common Injury: ACL Tear — frequent from quick pivots, tackles, or uneven fields.

🏓 Pickleball
