Daily reflections of gratitude can benefit kids’ lives in many ways, including positive thinking, happiness, empathy and kindness, and stronger relationships with family and friends.

Here are some ways you can help kids reflect on gratitude everyday:

-Every morning, supper time, or bedtime, ask them “what are three good things that happened today?”

-Write “thank you” notes or artwork to specific people and discuss how to give them out

-Get and use a gratitude journal or art book

-With your kids, share your specific appreciations for your kids, family members, or other people

-Share this infographic with your kids *from an unknown/uncredited source). Ask them to pick out the things they are grateful for each day. Ask them to draw other things they’re grateful for.

Men’s mental health often goes overlooked but is equally important to their physical health.

Here are some stats on men’s mental health from Fostering Wholeness LLC.

Men, here are some things you can do to take care of your mental health:

-Be aware of and accept your feelings
-Talk about your feelings, concerns, and things that are stressing you out
-Take time off of work, if needed, to deal with your mental health
-Practice a good sleep routine
-Exercise regularly
-Connect with others
-Balance home, work, family, and other important parts of your life
-Make sure you have good nutrition to fuel your body
-Practice self-care. Do the things that help you feel good and bring you joy, relaxation, purpose, and meaning to your life

Seeing a counsellor, psychologist, or social worker can help you learn more about your mental health and how to deal with stress, burnout, depression, anger, relationship conflict, and other things that bother you.
