Grief.

Today it bust through a door that I hadn't realized was there. I was pushing against with all my might trying to keep it out.

Life doesn't stop just because death hits. And we don't forget.

Sometimes I walk gracefully with death, hand in hand, knowing many loved ones are beyond the veil. I've allowed myself to nurture the softness I require to peek beyond at any given moment, seeing the loved ones, ancestors and future.

Today, my dear friend and boss took one look at me when I walked through the door of work with a gushing, tear streaked face and sent me to the river for healing.

I had felt a coldness within me as my brother drove me to work, sneaking up and around my heart, angered by the truth of sadness, and annoyed I couldn't suppress it at will today.

Funny how I tried to choke it back, telling myself it will pass, I'm fine, I can get through this moment.

Too many times I have found myself having to say that, and today there was no other option than to take some time for me.

I am so grateful for those of you near and dear who see me ❤️ and I'm so grateful for those who read and feel what I speak of. You are not alone.

I had 4 chickadees land on my hand and circle me, down by the river, amidst the trees where hearts are engraved.

That sensation of anticipation and yearning for the soul's nourishment that comes with dreams materializing is intense! The only action that can be taken is to prepare to receive, and trust that you are deeply protected as this comes to fruition.

I'm taking a moment to speak up and out regarding the tortuous starvation that millions are facing in Palestine.

I was raised believing in the words of my elders; being taught in school that we are a great country that cares for environment, that we are socially inclusive, and that we would never allow genocide to happen.

Imagine my rage as I learned each of these tenants to be false. To learn that the leaders of this country choose an unsustainable economy over rivers, wise trees, and habitats for the delicate and wondrous ecosystem.

To discover that "never again" is a rouse for keeping us sleeping and blind to the realities of greed, immorality and power misplaced and misunderstood.

True power is within each of us, to set down our distractions and to speak up, to each other, our neighbours and our government - to show through our actions that we are not afraid to stand up against tyranny and fascism.

To not only be good and kind community members, but to support the real needs of one another. To truly walk with kindness, compassion, and effort to make our lives collectively better, for all. By healing our wounds, by showing vulnerability, and creating space to be witnessed "as is", learning acceptance and growing from there.

To steward the care of our oceans, rivers, forests, wetlands and prairies by saying no to chemical exploitation, saying no to the power of fear over our stuff being lost, and recognize that if the people of Israel took the time to see the brutality of the actions of its unholy government, that their neighbours wouldn't be suffering right now. No child should feel this intentional cruelty of starvation because they were born in land coveted by the greedy people in the government.

We need to protect each other and let go of this hold that fearing the unknown allows and make peace by being peaceful, loving, and curious. Through true connection we can build a better future, and feel pride in living in the now because we are showing up for each other, imperfectly. That we are already enough.

All meetings will be online, via Zoom. Thank you to those who have already had their readings done early this year. There is no cost at this time as I complete my training.

Akashic Records are a sacred ethereal library of sorts, that are to be accessed only with consent. I guide my guests through my mind's eye view of information to assist your highest good along your path right now.

One of the most interesting aspects I've found is how closely related Stone Medicine is to Akashic Records.

Visual Artist & Tattoo Artisit It's me, Sarah! I have been a long time practicing visual artist, with 5 years in the post secondary Fine Arts program at the University, and an extensive history in the tattoo industry as a support staff member, collector, and enthusiast. My apprenticeship was completed under Stevie Kunimoto here at Jaded Body Arts last year, and I am now a first year tattoo artist! Alongside, I will be continuing my work as a custom artist for your fine art needs!
