The colours of this stone chanel the properties of freedom, stability and the ability to create order out of chaos. This may be the key to discovering abundance existing in your life now, just waiting to be transformed!

Aquamarine carries the eldest sibling vibe of the family of Beryls, providing steady footing as one acquires great depths of knowledge regarding the world and the self.
It has a level headedness to it that can cool flashes of anger and other unexpected flare ups of heat. Wearing it as a bracelet allows one to maintain a thermal regulator as well as providing a channel for your subconscious waters to flow.
This stone brings an energy one could sum up as a refreshing contentment. With its connection to the sea it can draw in its strength to assist balancing the fluids in your body, bringing access to hydration or encouraging water retention to relax.
This hexagonal (trigonal) structure brings its colour through iron deposits in a colourless beryl. It holds strong at an average of 7.5-8 on the Mohs scale and can be found across the world in areas of Brazil, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Australia, Africa and the USA.
The name came from Latin, for sea water, mimicking the sea greens and blues of waters, which may be why it is believed there to be a mermaid connection, allowing the holder to energetically dive deep into emotional waters with grace and strength.
This stone enjoys a good cleansing in running water, so set it in your fountain for a safe wash before allowing it to dry and await its next job as your ally.
Known as March's birthstone, aquamarine was used by sailors to calm the waves and keep their ships safe by offering it to the sea itself.
This stone is excellent for use during Akashic Records sessions, accessing the vast library of your soul and connecting to ancestral lineages.
Ultimately this stone will be your guide to the answer regarding who you are and what you desire in this lifetime.
Aquamarine is a beryllium aluminum silicate and its first recorded use was in Greece between 300-500 BC.
It's a great stone for rising truth being shared, and keeps your throat Chakra finely tuned, and balances health of the mouth, throat and lungs. An indirect elixir is most beneficial for those who suffer from allergies.

This specimen is a reminder that we have places that shine and catch the light to reflect back the beauty we carry. As a yellow stone it connects into our solar plexus energy centre, which holds identity. Andradite Garnet is a stone of empowerment and embodies the deep mysteries of the earth. When one is ready to shed experiences of trauma and release those ghosts for good, transcendence is supported through the presence of this beauty.

New beginnings deserve to be marked and celebrated with dreaming big. I mean, B I G. Chances are if you find yourself in this space, you have gone through great trials on your journey for truth, freedom, and self realization. Mysticism surrounds you with this ally, grounding you deeply into the appreciation of nature, sensing beauty everywhere.

Andradite Garnet is the most rare of the garnet species, though is found in multiple places across the globe. Garnets can be formed in igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, with this type usually being found in metamorphised limestone. This cubic crystal system has a Mohs scale of 6.5-7.5, and can be yellow, green, or brown.

#1) Icelandic Spar (clear optical calcite)

I'm fascinated that the stone used to assist ancient navigation has appeared in cooperation with "I trust myself and the path I walk", because with this combination you are destined to reach the places you are meant to see.

We can set out with a plan, and though sometimes we arrive with no complications, often there are many moments that arise along the way that shift our destination. The ability to adapt and allow curiousity to be stronger than fear will fill our experience with love.

When you peer through this specimen, it gives the appearance of one thing in two places at once, allowing it to be used as a lense for self improvement.

#2) Pyrite

Did you know that Pyrite was once used as a mirror? Here you are being shown the power within you, anchoring in to the "can-do" attitude towards whatever goal you have in mind. You can overcome your fears and take action towards becoming the dynamic self felt within on quiet, private days. It's time to step up and out!

You CAN do this, whatever's in your hearts desire, you can bring into reality. Allow whatever is acting as a blockage at this moment to burn away from the sulphuric components of this specimen so that when you see yourself, you shine whole, strong and with confidence. Whatever feels cold and stuck is about to quickly dissolve and allow the return of flow to fuel your movement and growth.

Good morning, friends.

Good morning energy, elements, and all.

I invite you to take a breath and pause, allow the oxygen to seep in, and after a count of four, slowly release all that asks to be let go of.

This morning .laurenkurmey 's deck asked to be the messenger, and these three stones had been waiting to appear to you all. Together they are here today to offer support, and bring reminders that you are love.

Painite is a stone of passion, empowerment and motivation ruled by Fire & Earth connecting to the root Chakra primarily, and is a great stone of alignment for grounding into all meridians.

This stone is exclusively found in Myanmar and prior to the year 2001, was the most rare and unique stone in our known world, with only 3 specimens, the first being housed at the British Museum. A deep red with brown, this gemstone was found again in the mid 2000s, offering limited access to the market of collectors.

With very few opportunities to connect with this mysterious stone, it has been suggested that it is best called upon in times of transformation and in meditative practices, May this stone remind you that your soul is just as rare and beautiful as it is.

It's that time of year again! LPIRG & CCC are happy to announce our 4th annual advocacy conference, Art as Advocacy.

A gathering where creativity becomes catalyst, and where art is celebrated not only as expression, but as a force for liberation, healing, and social transformation inviting attendees to explore the powerful intersections of creative practice and justice work.

This full day event, happening March 7th, features two keynote speakers, eight hands-on workshops, food, fun, and exploration!

Attendance is FREE for all UofL students, $5.00 for community students (Polytech & Public Schools), $10.00 for any Educator, and $20.00 for Community Members at large.

Your presence would help cultivate a space where community feels seen, inspired, and emboldened - where are becomes not simply something we create, but something that creates us. 🎨🌿

Visual Artist & Tattoo Artisit It's me, Sarah! I have been a long time practicing visual artist, with 5 years in the post secondary Fine Arts program at the University, and an extensive history in the tattoo industry as a support staff member, collector, and enthusiast. My apprenticeship was completed under Stevie Kunimoto here at Jaded Body Arts last year, and I am now a first year tattoo artist! Alongside, I will be continuing my work as a custom artist for your fine art needs!
