Jennifer Morneau is an Osteopathic Manual Therapist, a Canadian Certified Athletic Therapist, Alberta Registered Massage Therapist. An osteopathic manual therapy appointment with Accelerate Sports Therapy will include a comprehensive history taking, followed by musculoskeletal and postural assessment, followed by therapeutic techniques such as myofascial and functional mobilization and movements, cranio-sacral therapy, osteo-articular mobilizations, visceral manipulations, and active rehabilitation. Initial Appointments are at least an hour and a half and are focused on searching for the root cause of the patient's complaint, as well as assisting the patient with his/her injury healing process and correction of postural imbalances. Appointments may be longer but are less frequent, and the goal is to help return the patient to his/her work and play as quickly and as safely as possible. Patients range in age from newborns up to adults of any age. With knowledge of ergonomics and functional movements, Jennifer can also evaluate and suggest changes to work stations at both industrial sites and within offices. With First Responder certification and several years experience of on-field and on-ice emergency care, Jennifer can also provide emergency care and management at sporting events.
