Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association LTRA offers an alternative form of therapy using horses to help people with various capabilities.

The Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association offers individuals with special needs hands-on instruction in riding and horse care to exercise the body and spirit. The Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association (LTRA) began in 1976 when a few volunteers offered instruction in riding and horse care to students with various disabilities. The program has since grown to include many volunteers aiding more than 350 disabled and able-bodied students each year. Vision:

LTRA is a sustainable, charitable organization that is dedicated to discovery, inclusion, and learning by building relationships with and through horses in collaboration with our community. Values:
Respect - To provide an environment of mutual respect for people, animals, and facilities. Learning - To teach our clients, partners, and the community about horses and their wellness benefits while elevating their spirits. Inclusion - We believe that all individuals are distinct, unique, and deserve to be treated equally and fairly. We create a welcoming environment for all and are strength based in our approach. Compassion - We believe all individuals and horses have the right to be treated in a caring manner while recognizing the importance of understanding. Confidence - We believe that our clients can become more confident in themselves and their abilities through interaction with horses. The 42nd Joanne Perlich Ride4Dreams Cabaret & Trail Ride was a huge success — and it wouldn’t have been possible without YOU! 💙🐴

It’s hard to believe our Summer Therapeutic Riding Program has already come to an end—it’s been an incredible season filled with smiles, growth, and unforgettable moments in the arena. 💙

Calling all horse people! On Sept 13, bring your horse and join us at Pavan Park for the second part of our legacy fundraiser: The 42nd Annual Joanne Perlich ‘Ride4Dreams’ Trail Ride! Together, youth & adult riders will raise pledges and partake in a group trail ride (complete with lunch and prizes!). Together showing the power of community, camaraderie & cause.

Every stride supports therapeutic riding and adaptive programs offered by LTRA—ensuring healing through horses is available and accessible for all.

🎥 We had an absolute blast with April from 98.1 The Ranch - chatting about the benefits of therapeutic riding! 🌟 She even joined us for a ride out at Pavan Park – the same place we’ll be hosting the Trail Ride portion of the 42nd Annual Joanne Perlich Ride4Dreams on Saturday, September 13th.

Now in its 42nd year, Ride4Dreams is one of three key fundraisers that help us keep our doors open and proudly serve the community. The trail ride brings us back to our roots: pledges collected by riders, and the joy of a massive group ride through beautiful Pavan Park — all driven by fun, a love of horses, and the impact this event makes. 🐴💙
