***UPDATE: We have secured a solution! One of our adaptive saddles will be making its way to Spruce Grove thanks to our incredible staff member, Ryleigh, who is driving it to Calgary tomorrow morning. We are so grateful to everyone who reached out with ideas, contacts, and support. It’s truly inspiring to see our community rally together to help make this special moment possible.

💛 Calling all therapeutic riding organizations in the Spruce Grove/Edmonton region! 🐴

A little girl in Parkland County has one simple wish — to sit on a horse. Cedar Ridge Estates/LRCA Ranch is working hard to make it happen before March 5th and are in need of a saddle adapter or similar adaptive equipment for the day.

We've already offered to help from our end, but we want to cast a wider net to see if we can source the equipment they need locally — if your organization has adaptive equipment available to lend or sponsor for this incredibly special moment, please reach out to them directly or contact us at Kale@ltra.ca and we'll help connect the dots.

Let's use our community to make this little girl's wish come true. Sometimes the simplest moments mean everything. 🤍

Please share widely — the more eyes on this, the better our chances of making it happen! — LTRA 🐴

✨ UPDATE: ((GUYS)) We have secured a solution. ✨

Because of the incredible support from our community, we have been able to source the adaptive equipment needed to make this little girl’s wish come true.

Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association has generously provided an adaptive saddle, and their team is coordinating transport north. They will be meeting partway with Mike Aasen from bringing it the rest of the way, to meet us in edmonton with arrival of the saddle planned for Sunday morning — leaving us plenty of extra time to prepare everything else for her special day.

The way this came together — so quickly and so seamlessly — is truly amazing. What could have been complicated became possible because people simply stepped up and said yes.

This is what community looks like. 🤍

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who shared, connected, and helped coordinate this. Because of you, a little girl will get her moment on a horse.

✨ Community Help Needed – Special Request ✨
Location Parkland County 15 minutes out of Spruce Grove.
A very kind person down the road from our new facility has reached out to us with a heartfelt request. The Mayor has asked for assistance in helping fulfill the last wish of a beautiful little girl — and her wish is simply to sit on a horse. 🤍

We want to do everything in our power to make this moment happen safely and comfortably for her.

It has been requested that this take place here at Cedar Ridge Estates, and we are currently searching for a saddle adapter (or something similar) that could be used for the day.

We are hoping to secure one before March 5th.

If you have one available — or would be willing to sponsor or lend one for the day — we would be incredibly grateful. This is one of those moments that reminds us how precious the simple things are that many of us experience every day without a second thought.

🤍 This is where the heart of our community and care for people truly comes into play.
Let’s come together and make this happen for this sweet girl, guys. Every small piece of support helps us bring this moment to life.

If you can help, please message us directly.

Thank you for helping us come together as a community to make something truly special happen. 🤍🐴

🐴✨ IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY. LTRA TURNS 50!✨🐴

2026 - ironically the year of the horse - marks a major milestone for Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association. We are celebrating 50 years of healing, connection, and community through horses. Can you believe it?!

Since 1976, LTRA has been bridging abilities and changing lives alongside incredible horses, riders, volunteers, donors, staff, and community supporters. This legacy didn’t happen overnight — and it didn’t happen alone. None of this would be possible without our community and each of you!

We’ll be celebrating all year long, with our 50th anniversary woven through our events — and yes, we’re planning a community-wide celebration this July (date TBD!). Riders past and present, volunteers, families, donors, stakeholders — this celebration is for all you. Stay tuned!

📖💛 HELP US TELL THE STORY — & WIN!
As part of our 50th Anniversary, we’re collecting stories and photos from across the years — moments that show the impact LTRA has had on lives, families, and our community. Whether it’s a favorite horse, a memory that still makes you smile, or a moment that changed everything — we want to hear it!

✨ To say thank you, we’re launching a monthly draw:
Each month, everyone who submits a story or photo will be entered to win a $50 gift card to a local retailer. 🎁 This month’s draw is to one of our favorite stores: Western Stockman!

A big LTRA thank-you to Cornerstone Funeral Home Ltd. and Lethbridge Hearing Centre! 💛🐴

As part of their 30 Days of Giving campaign, these amazing volunteers spent the day with us refreshing our pass-through space — a project that makes a huge difference but is far too big for just one or two sets of hands. Because of their hard work, the space is now warm, inviting, and ready to support our growing programs (including much-needed tack storage!).

We are so grateful for your time, energy, and commitment to giving back. Community partners like you help keep LTRA moving forward. 💛

Thank you — we appreciate you! 🙌🐴
