The good news? Small daily habits can make a big difference in reducing stiffness and preventing flare-ups.
Here’s what you can do today to support a healthier back:
1. Move every 30–45 minutes
Sitting too long is one of the biggest contributors to stiffness. A quick walk, stretch, or posture reset keeps your spine happy.
2. Strengthen your core
A strong core takes pressure off your lower back. Even simple exercises like bridges, or planks can help.
3. Stretch your hip flexors and hamstrings
Tight hips and legs are often the hidden cause of lower-back tension. Spend 2–3 minutes stretching each side daily.
4. Check your workstation
Small ergonomic adjustments , screen height, chair support, foot positioning can significantly reduce strain.
5. Stay hydrated
Your spinal discs need water to stay cushioned. Even mild dehydration can increase stiffness.
6. Listen to your body
Sharp pain, numbness, or symptoms that don’t improve should be assessed by a professional.
