National champ!! Congrats to Dr. Iwaasa on winning two gold medals at the Canadian Racquetball championship in Ontario this weekend. Singles and doubles champion for Canada.

Oh, and he was also named Lethbridge Senior Male Athlete of the Year by Lethbridge Sport Council earlier this spring too.

We happen to think he’s an all star chiropractor and person too!

More good news!! Dr. Iwaasa is now offering acupuncture starting Monday September 30!! New patients as well as current Dr. Takahashi patients can call the office to book an appointment. I have included a small blurb of information from Dr. Iwaasa for those interested!! Don't delay, call today!!

Research supports acupuncture’s effectiveness in providing muscle relief, particularly for conditions involving chronic pain and muscle tension. A study published in The Journal of Pain (2017) demonstrated that acupuncture reduced pain intensity and improved muscle function in individuals with conditions like myofascial pain syndrome, a common cause of chronic muscle tightness and discomfort. Acupuncture is believed to work by stimulating the nervous system and increasing blood flow to affected muscles, which promotes relaxation and healing. Additionally, a 2018 review in Frontiers in Neurology highlighted how acupuncture releases trigger points in muscles, alleviating tension and improving mobility. This, combined with the release of endorphins and modulation of inflammatory responses, makes acupuncture an effective and low-risk treatment option for muscle pain relief, enhancing recovery and overall physical function.
