We’re continuing our Meet the Team series — celebrating the people behind the meals who bring care, creativity, and connection to our communities.

Meet Amanda VanBuskirk, a dedicated chef whose journey with Aramark Canada spans over 10 years. On July 18, 2024, Amanda reached a proud milestone: she earned her Red Seal Certification — a national recognition of culinary excellence.

Throughout her career, Amanda has embraced every opportunity to grow, always keeping senior residents at the heart of her work. Today, she’s exploring the bold, vibrant world of Korean street food, with hopes of one day experiencing it firsthand in Korea.

Outside the kitchen, Amanda enjoys bike rides with her husband and baby, hands-on DIY projects, and epic gaming adventures through Skyrim, Monster Hunter, and Pokémon.

Behind every dish is a story — and Amanda’s is one of passion, persistence, and purpose. We’re proud to be part of her journey. 💚
