FACT FRIDAY:
What does Edmund Halley have to do with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?? Well not only did he discover what we now know as Halleys comet, In 1716 Mr Halley also invented two prototypes for diving bells!!
Through divers surfacing to quickly and getting decompression sickness the hunt was on to see how they could relieve this serious issue. Hence the discovery (re discovery) of Hyperbaric Chambers and tweeking what was already there!! Tune in to next Friday's Fact Friday to see who and what this was!
