A trend we saw in clinic this week - Progesterone sensitivity!
Progesterone is often included in hormone therapy to support uterine health and can also influence sleep and how the nervous system feels. Some people notice changes in mood or energy when starting, which can reflect how the brain responds to progesterone.
In many cases, adjusting how progesterone is used — such as dose, timing, or regimen — can help improve comfort while continuing to provide its intended benefits. In other cases, we may have to look into completely different alternatives like SERMs, IUDs, or non-hormonal therapy.
