As we flip over to a whole new year / a whole blank slate:
Be gentle with yourself, please.
Do not slide back into the despair of 2025, the hardships and the negativity.
Women - I know there were so many days you just didn't feel safe and the struggle was so hard...
Men - She didn't lovingly hear your words. She didn't react well when you bristled from the struggle of keeping it all together / being the man...
Girls - You were seen and not heard. Nobody understood the challenge of acting your age and still acting your age....
Boys - So much rawness throttling through your veins and nowhere to vent all those emotions...

I see you. I hear you. I have felt pretty much all that you have felt.
Someone you know has also.

You never walked alone, so....

As 2025 ends slowly today, heels digging in as it scrapes to a death tonight at midnight... As this wild snake year closes.... Feel the relief that you survived.

Review all the positive things please. Not the negative.
Thank yourself for not triggering and learning the valuable lessons that this year past brought with a "whew"! You thankfully have those under your belt, now under control.

2026 - The year of the horse - Bring it on!

Dance tonight. Celebrate. Hug joyously.

What was your most "what the hell?" Christmas gift? I've mentioned to a few people about my first Christmas with my first husband. His parents gave me a pink, plastic toilet brush. Yah. Nothing else, just that. Exactly like the one in this picture I found. You could buy them in 1972 for $1.99. The back was open and the brush fit in there. I was stunned when I opened it I will say and then I positively knew at that point what they thought of me. Sigh.... There was never any wonder why that marriage didn't last.

Let me know what you're doing? Rusty and I are spending Christmas day by ourselves as usual. We will go out to the Chinese Buffet this year we think. Maybe... lol We will enjoy video chats, messages and phone calls with family and friends and send a message to one couple who we hold dear, but have ghosted us. Sigh. We will tell each other we love us many times. We will reminisce about Christmases past and all the different places we've spent them: My big red house Port Stanley, Ontario. My littler house in Port Stanley. Our Class A motorhome we called George, Georgetown, Florida. A rental house Port Stanley. A kitchenette suite in Osoyoos, British Columbia. Our big toy hauler RV we called Rex in Georgetown Florida again x 2. (2nd time with our "travel" fifth wheel we call Thor.) Thor, Bose, Arizona and then this year, right here in Lethbridge in another kitchenette room. 9 we have had together. holy moley! Ten years coming up since we met and still we like each other! Well, that's a conversation for another day. Happy day before Christmas Eve ya'all!

Date day lol. Waterton National Park never disappoints us. We took hwy 505 to get there and then home through Cardston to Lethbridge. We had a wonderful day! For my American friends: Waterton butts up to your Glacier National Park Montana.
