“Name it to tame it.” – Daniel J. Siegel

Putting feelings into words helps make them feel less overwhelming. When we name what we’re experiencing — stress, sadness, worry, or frustration — we create space to understand it and respond with care.

At Mindgarden Wellness, learning to recognize and express emotions is an important step toward feeling more balanced and supported. 🌿

🌿 Summer Day Camp Interest 🌿

We’re exploring the idea of offering a summer day camp focused on helping kids build emotional regulation and social skills, and we’d love to hear from you.

Many kids benefit from extra support with managing big feelings, building confidence, and connecting with others — and we’re hoping to create a safe, supportive space where they can learn and grow while still having fun.

Right now we’re just gathering interest and ideas to see if a camp week would be a good fit for families in our community.

If this sounds like something your child might enjoy or benefit from, we would really appreciate you taking a minute to fill out the short form.

Here is the link to fill out the questions:

Your input will help us shape a program that truly meets families’ needs 💚

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month — a time to recognize an important and concerning reality.

Nearly 45% of teens experience some form of dating violence by the time they turn 15. These experiences can deeply impact how young people understand relationships, boundaries, trust, and self-worth.

Awareness is more than a statistic.
It’s a call to educate, to prevent, and to support early.

At Mind Garden Wellness, we believe young people deserve healthy, respectful relationships built on communication, safety, and mutual care.

If you’re a parent, caregiver, educator, or teen — know that support is available. Healing is possible. And conversations matter.

Awareness is a powerful first step. 💛

Bullying isn’t always obvious — and teens don’t always speak up.

Creating space for open conversation can make all the difference. If you’re not sure how to start, here are 5 gentle questions that encourage real dialogue:

1️⃣ What does bullying look like at your school right now?
2️⃣ Have you seen anyone being treated unfairly or left out?
3️⃣ What makes it hard for someone to tell an adult about bullying?
4️⃣ What do adults not understand about bullying today?
5️⃣ If something like this ever happened to you, how would you want me to respond?

The goal isn’t to fix everything immediately.
The goal is to build trust.

When teens feel heard, they’re more likely to open up. 💛

“If you are not speaking it, you are storing it.”

Unspoken stress does not disappear.
Unprocessed emotions do not resolve themselves.
They settle — in the body, in the mind, in our relationships.

Avoidance can feel protective in the moment, but long-term emotional storage often shows up as anxiety, irritability, burnout, sleep disruption, or physical tension.

Therapy provides a structured, confidential space to process what feels too heavy to carry alone.

You deserve a place where your thoughts can be expressed, explored, and understood — not stored.

If you are ready to begin that process, Mind Garden Wellness is here to support you.

Pregnancy is a time of significant change — physically, emotionally, and mentally. While excitement and anticipation are common, so are anxiety, mood shifts, uncertainty, and vulnerability.

Seeking support from a mental health professional during pregnancy is not about something being “wrong.” It is about building resilience, strengthening coping strategies, and preparing for the transition into parenthood with confidence.

Proactive mental health care can reduce the risk of postpartum depression and anxiety and provide a steady foundation during a time of rapid change.

If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you deserve support every step of the way.

Real self-care isn’t just bubble baths and coffee breaks. 🌿

It’s setting boundaries, noticing your energy, and giving yourself permission to rest without guilt. It’s the small, consistent practices that nurture your mental, emotional, and physical well-being—even on busy or chaotic days.

At Mindgarden Wellness, we believe self-care is a sustainable lifestyle, not a luxury. Start with one intentional act today—your mind and body will thank you. ✨
