KLHCI was delighted to showcase Kawartha Lakes this past weekend to two Family Medicine Residents and their families. Everyone spent some time enjoying the Bobcaygeon Fall Fair, a driving tour of Kawartha Lakes with a stop at , dinner at , and then a stroll to view the falls. Of course, a tour of the was included.

The NOSM University Rural Generalist Pathway is designed to support medical learners who want to practise rural generalist family medicine. The program welcomed its first students in 2021, and this year all graduated and matched to NOSM University’s family medicine program, beginning their residences in communities across Northern Ontario.

Le Parcours généraliste rural de l’Université de l’EMNO vise à soutenir les étudiantes et étudiants en médecine qui souhaitent exercer la médecine familiale généraliste en milieu rural. Le programme a accueilli sa première cohorte en 2021, et cette année, tous ont obtenu leur diplôme et ont été admis au programme postdoctoral en médecine familiale de l’Université de l’EMNO, commençant leur résidence dans des communautés du Nord de l’Ontario.
