🎄🥜An update on Red the Christmas Squirrel!🥜🎄

From Rene, "Hi everyone, here's an update on Red. So the live catch finally worked, with two-sided masking tape holding the peanuts in place so she really had to pull. I then transported her to the Bluewater Outdoor Ed Centre and released her near the barn, feeling rather guilty, I must say, and a little sad. She was really cute. Yesterday I had to attend the Centre for another matter, and I called her, and surprisingly, she came!! She ran along the fence looking at me as I walked from the classroom building to the main one. She was bouncing along and looked very happy.

I later spoke to the kind custodian about Red, and he said she liked the birdfeeders (oh, I know that!). He then added, "Don't worry about her; she will be fine and make friends with the other squirrels in the barn." awwww

Today I found a peanut under a pillow in my room. I think a little thank-you gift from Red. :) Have a very Merry Red Christmas"
