Here's we have our latest junior version of our Brasa guitar.

Equipped with tuners and bridge.

This cool build is finally complete.
The body is made from a beam taken out of the Tatsfield grain elevator when it was torn down back in the 80's and the client has held onto it until now with a guitar build in mind.

A piece of history brought into an heirloom the family can keep forever.

Check out the old picture of the elevator that was the inspiration for this build.

Mahogany accents include, a body build up to get it to the necessary thickness, body bindings, neck lamination and head cap.
Schaller hardware and a Matchstick P90 pickup.

A couple of fretboards for guitar builds, so many similarities, yet oh so different.

I've been looking forward to this build for over a year. A client had a fir beam from a grain elevator that he got back in the 80's and he wanted it turned into a guitar, and here is the beginning of that build.

The beam wasn't quite thick enough for a guitar body, so I flattened the back and added a layer of mahogany to get it to the desired thickness.

Making a custom nut for this Ibanez acoustic.

Putting the new builds aside to catch up on service work.
Fix some soundboard cracks.
Remove existing bridge, make new and install.
Remove the old frets, level sand fretboard, and refret.
Reshape the end of the fretboard as someone had cut the extension off in the past.
New nut, saddle, and bridge pins.
New strings and setup.
This Ibanez will feel like a new guitar again.
