In addition to being Lammas today, it’s also August 1st and you know what that means…

🧙🏻‍♀️IT’S CINNAMON TIME!!!🧙🏻‍♀️

This is your monthly reminder to blow your cinnamon and welcome in abundance! 💨

Once I blow my cinnamon through my door, I rub my hands together and then smooth them over myself (energy and physical self) to spread the abundance infused energy onto my being as well.

*You can also just wash your hands 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 it’s whatever feels right to you!

You can do this cinnamon ritual at your home as well as your workplace or anywhere else you wish to call in abundance and prosperity!

*NOTE: cinnamon is NOT good for your furry friends so if you have pets that may be around your door area, either sweep your cinnamon up right after or use cinnamon incense/a lit cinnamon stick (as incense) instead, wafting the smoke through your door. 💜🐶🐱

This is also a great time to make a money bowl if you feel called to do so!

Tomorrow is Lammas (also known as Lughnasadh) the first of 3 Pagan harvest festivals on the Wheel of the Year!

A sign that the berries, fruits are ready, plants of spring wither and drop seeds to ensure future crops, grains are ready to be harvested, and the first harvest of corn (in some areas)🌽

In Celtic times the day was a celebration of the great Sun God Lugh. The word Lughnasadh means 'Praise Lugh'. It was a time of giving thanks to the Sun God for the harvest and giving offerings of bread, corn and wheat to him. A bonfire would be built called a Lughfire where the offerings would be thrown into it.

Lammas the midway point between the summer solstice and autumnal equinox, another turn of the wheel of the year 💫

Lammas, or "Loaf Mass," is the Feast of the First Harvest, the Feast of Bread. This Holy Day honors the women who created agriculture and bred the crops we cultivate, especially the grains, or corn.

Lammas is a time of personal reflection and our own personal harvest of our actions and deeds, events and experiences, our gains and losses throughout this year. A time when we begin the cycle of reflection of that which is our life.

At this time we begin to reap what we have sown for all our hard work we have put in throughout the year.

Primarily Lammas is a time of thanksgiving, when we appreciate all we have in our lives and give thanks and show gratitude to the Gods and the earth for their life giving gifts.

𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝟱 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨!

I want to share a quick practice with you that you can use ANYWHERE to ground your energy when you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, tense, overstimulated, and stressed out.

Begin by taking 3 deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Look around you and find 5 things that are the same colour.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Look around you and find 4 things that are the same texture, feel them if you choose to.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Look around you and find 3 things that you can hear.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Look around you and find 2 things you can smell; smell them if you wish to.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Look around you and find 1 thing that you can taste. If there is nothing with taste around you, imagine something you enjoy the taste of.

Take 3 deep breaths in through your nose, and out through your mouth.

Feel into yourself, how your body and mind feel after doing this quick practice.

💜 This can be a great practice to do with kids as well, as it turns into a bit of an eye spy game while helping them regulate!!

This practice works by engaging all 5 of your senses and giving your mind a task to focus on (finding x number of each thing). If your mind is occupied and focused, it removes it from the fight or flight space that causes the overwhelming feelings of overstimulation, stress, anxiety.

The deep breathing connects you with your body and tells your nervous system (the thing responsible for that fight or flight response) that you are safe, there is no danger, and you are ok, allowing you to settle into a rest and repair state.

Together with the balanced breathing bringing your awareness to your body and the focused mind moving from things that make you feel the negative feelings and energy, this practice nurtures your whole body self.

If you’ve been here a while, you know I am quite transparent and open with my own personal story (to an extent) and my experiences that led me to my own healing journey.

For that reason, and to help others not feel alone if they experience similar, I am sharing this.

Warning, mention of ptsd and emotional abuse









Real talk moment… (trigger warning, emotional abuse and ptsd)

It doesn’t matter how good things are.

It doesn’t matter if you are in a great mood and having a good day.

It doesnt matter that the person and situation that triggered it has nothing to do with the past aside from being yelled at and repeatedly appologizing to someone who just continued to yell and berate.

It doesn’t matter how much self care and self healing you’ve done.

I doesn’t matter how “past it” you think and feel you are.

It can come out of nowhere.

The trigger

The panic attack

The feeling you need to somehow make it ok and prove you’re “sorry” for a mistake and that you can’t express it enough.

The feeling right back in the turbulence of it all

To the point you have to pull over on the side of the road and “escape” your vehicle because it feels too enclosed and it isn’t safe to keep driving.

These things can fade from the foreground, they can seem to have disappeared, but… sometimes they just spring up from the shadows and overtake you.

And there’s nothing to feel guilty about or shame in your triggered reaction.

It’s ok to be human.

It’s ok to still be healing from the past.

It’s ok to breakdown.

It’s ok for these things to be a work in progress.

To anyone who has ptsd or trauma, this is just to say it’s ok. You aren’t alone.

*thank you to the lady who will never see this that stopped on the side of the road to make sure I was ok as I stood in the ditch and had my panic attack. Thank you for holding space for me, showing compassion, and helping me ground. I couldn’t express how much your moment of kindness means.
