What Can Osteopathy help with?

You name it! When the body is physically out of alignment (your muscles, joints etc), parts of the body can often be in physical pain. The result is that the blood vessels and nerves that run between your structures are now not in their best place and they cannot do their best work. The result is a lack of proper blood supply and drainage and nerve force to and from these structures and these can manifest as headaches, digestive issues etc. Therefore, what I’m trying to say is good structure + good physiology = feelin’ good!

What is Classical Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a philosophy, a science and an art. Classical Osteopathy is based on the relationship between STRUCTURE and FUNCTION. This is based entirely upon the relationship between ANATOMY (parts of your body like your arm, a rib etc) and PHYSIOLOGY (things like digestion, headache etc).

Those trained in Classical Osteopathy do not memorize a set of techniques, rather, we apply treatment that is tailored to your body based on your anatomy and your expression of physiology. Classical Osteopathy is an ARTFUL form of manual therapy and it seeks to bring balance between anatomy and physiology so that the body can return to a state of less pain and better health.

Hello everyone!

As you know, I am an Osteopathic Practitioner. I studied at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, Ontario, which is the ‘place to be’ to learn about classical Osteopathy. The reason I am using these social media platforms is to share my knowledge, enlighten you about Osteopathy and to spread the word about what Osteopathy is and how beneficial it is for so many things. I enjoy what I do tremendously and most of all, I enjoy all of you and the joy and challenges each of you, my patients, bring.
