Here's what a 30-minute treatment can look like in 30 seconds!

Our treatment can consist of soft tissue mobilizations, joint mobilizations, decompression therapy, and neurofunctional acupuncture. Rehab exercises are given as well to supplement our treatment in the clinic.

For our patient here, we focused on relieving her neck, upper back and lower back. We also included some TMJ-focus care to help target those muscles related to TMJ dysfunction and headaches.

We get that injuries can be frustrating! 😞

Unfortunately, the truth is that your injuries take time and consistency to heal properly. Seeing your healthcare practitioner on a regular schedule and being consistent with your exercises and stretches at home is vital.

At Podium Chiropractic, we start with a detailed assessment to find the cause of the pain and create a plan to tackle it, which usually takes multiple visits.

Acupuncture is incredibly helpful during the acute phase of an injury, but it can also play a major role in elevating how you move and perform.

🏋️Our patient here is a world-level powerlifter who came to us during his last meet prep with significant pain below his kneecap, especially during heavy squats.

He started working with Dr. Nick for chiropractic care and Dr. Amy for neurofunctional acupuncture. With this combined approach — plus a few training tweaks — his progress has been incredible. He’s now squatting completely pain-free!

As you’re digging yourself out of the snow, here are a few tips to keep in mind:

🔥 Warm up first - spend 3-5 minutes before shovelling to stretch and prepare your body.

🦵🏽Use your legs, not your back. Keep the shovel close to your body and bend at the knees, not the back.

🫸 Push the snow away rather than lifting it up.

😎 Take frequent breaks to not overwork yourself.

💪 Keep your core engaged properly. Brace like you’re about to cough when lifting snow.

📣Did you know we can help treat temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction right here in our office?

TMJ dysfunction happens when your jaw joint isn’t moving properly, which can cause pain, tightness, or clicking and popping—especially when opening or closing your mouth.

We often see that people with chronic neck pain or tension also have some degree of TMJ dysfunction.

Here are 3 common signs your neck pain might be connected to your TMJ:
