Going outside isn’t the same as walking to and from your car or rushing in and out of work.
Those moments don’t really count because you’re distracted, preoccupied, and already thinking about the next thing.
What actually helps is being outside without an agenda.
No errands. No multitasking. No fixing or figuring things out.
That kind of time lets you set down everything you’re juggling, tune back into yourself, notice what you need, and give the thinking part of your brain a break.
Especially during these long winter months here in Canada, fresh air, cold elements, and gentle movement play a bigger role than we realize in staying well and keeping the winter blues from creeping in.
I’m curious. What’s one thing you do that helps you through this season? ❄️🥶
