Breaking News — We’re Opening Sooner Than You Think!

We’re excited to announce that our new Medical Centre in St. Thomas will officially open more than a month ahead of schedule on May 19.

Starting today, we are inviting patients who have already registered with our Centre to book their meet-and-greet appointments with one of our physicians. Invitations will be sent over the coming weeks, so we kindly ask that if you have already applied, you wait to receive your invite.

Please note that if you requested a female physician, you may either:

• proceed with registration now and request a transfer once our female physician joins, or
• choose to wait until our female physician becomes available (please let our team know).

We are also still accepting new patients. If you would like to join our practice, please apply through our website, www.thompsonmedicalcentre.ca.

We are incredibly excited to serve the St. Thomas community, and we can’t wait to meet you all soon!

New Family Physicians are joining us over the coming months — and they are accepting new patients.

✅ Limited spots available – first come, first served
✅ Online applications only – no in-person sign-ups
✅ 3 Locations across London and St. Thomas

How to Apply:

Once accepted, you’ll receive confirmation through our secure Medeo system or by phone, along with instructions on how to book your first appointment online.

The Thompson Medical Centre - TMC+ will be opening at 25 Elm Street, St Thomas (Elmdale Health Centre) in July 2026, bringing new family physicians to support local care needs.

This is a strong example of what community collaboration can achieve. The 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, a collaboration between the City of St. Thomas and the County of Elgin, has played an important role in making this happen. Through bringing the right people together, supporting physician recruitment efforts, and connecting the Thompson Medical Centre with available space in our community, the Partnership has helped position our region as a place where healthcare professionals want to live and work.

This is a great example of what strong community collaboration can achieve. The City’s Health Recruitment Partnership has played an important role in making this happen — bringing the right people together, supporting physician recruitment efforts, and helping connect Thompson Medical Centre with available space in our community. We’re also grateful to Dr. Haruta for his longstanding willingness to support local healthcare by providing space for new physicians to practice.

St. Thomas continues to stand out as a place where healthcare professionals want to live and work, thanks to dedicated leadership, thoughtful planning, and programs that support recruitment and retention.

Our new extended hours are Monday through Wednesday from 8am to 6pm at our Central Avenue clinic only.
