With the warmer weather, it’s natural to feel the urge to jump back into activities you may have put on pause all winter.

Just keep in mind… things might feel a bit stiff or slower than you remember — and that’s completely normal.

Core work doesn’t mean spamming ab crunches 🙅‍♂️

It is more about how well your spine can resist unwanted movements.

There are many other muscles stabilizing the core, not just the “six pack” muscles.

Other exercises to focus on:

- Anti-rotation (Pallof presses, Russian twists)

- Isometric exercises (planks)

- Oblique activation (woodchoppers, different angles or core rotation)

An update for Cori, our RMT:

In the interest of providing the highest quality of consistent care to my current clients, I will no longer be taking on new clients for the foreseeable future.

When I first started my massage therapy business, I had no idea how things were going to go. I was fresh out of school, with nothing but my passion for massage and the hope that things would work out.

Almost 3 busy years later, I now have a very full caseload, and I feel incredibly grateful to be able to say that.

Every massage therapist wishes they had several more sets of hands so they could help everyone who comes their way… but alas, we are only human.

I’ll also be starting school this September to become a full-fledged TCM Acupuncturist, which will take up my weekends and some weeknights—leaving even less flexibility for the next while.

Because of this, I’ll be keeping an internal waitlist for when space begins to open up again. If you’d like to be added, feel free to send me a message ✨
I’ll be reaching out to my waitlist first as availability returns.

To my current and returning clients—thank you for trusting me with your body, time and time again. It truly means more to me than I can put into words. Being able to do this work and help people feel more at home in their bodies is something I’ll never take for granted.
