Most of us have been taught to see anxiety as a problem to fix — something to eliminate, silence, or conquer.
But what if anxiety isn’t the enemy? What if it’s a part of us that’s just been trying really hard to keep us safe… in all the wrong ways?

🌿 When we try to shut it down, it usually just gets louder.
💬 But when we turn toward it with curiosity and compassion, something shifts.
It doesn’t disappear overnight — but it doesn’t have to scream to be heard anymore.

Co-existing with anxiety doesn’t mean giving in to fear.
It means learning how to listen without losing yourself.
It means holding space for that anxious part without letting it run the show.

Therapy can help you build that relationship — not by erasing your anxiety, but by helping you live with more ease, more choice, and a lot less yelling.

Grief really said ‘remember them? Here's a breakdown at aisle 7.

Grief waves suck! As hard as it is, the best way to handle grief waves is to let them flow through you. If you're thinking "How the heck do you do that?"
By noticing without judgment what is going on in your body- notice the tightness, the ache, the pressure - all without making assumptions. Just notice the presence.

If you are struggling with grief waves, which is totally normal btw, we're here for you. Grief therapy can help give you the tools for dealing with the aftermath of loss so that you can feel like you're feet are on the ground, even while riding dreadful grief waves.

In my practice, I hold a non-pathologizing lens, which means I begotten people do what they do for a reason, even if the behavior is hurting them. When we get to know our parts, we can start having self-compassion, which can lead to living a more value-based life instead of one that is fear-based.

One way is doing this in therapy is through Internal Family Systems. In this video, I share a little bit about how I view IFS.
