Press Play turns 4🎉

What a ride🎢 I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into when I started this account back in 2017😂

What started as a blog/IG account turned into a clinic which turned into a community which is just all beyond my wildest dreams.

I could not be more grateful for the people I’ve met, experiences I’ve shared and growth I’ve experienced💜

I’ve shifted so much as a clinician and a human over the past four years and I want to thank you for being on this ride with me!

I’m so glad I decided to and am so curious what comes next🤸🏼‍♀️

**Also thank you for reminding me of this milestone

Squad goals achieved✌🏼

Pinching myself that I have the absolute best team I could imagine. Not only are they rockstar PTs, but they also know to wear pink to a clinic outing🤣

Kate and Karla-thank you. Endlessly grateful to have you on the pressplay team!

And you are with us in spirit! One day we will get you up here🤞🏼

The more you celebrate, the more you realize how much there is to celebrate!

Those who have worked with me know I’m a fan of celebrating👏🏻🙌🏻👊🏼 I think it’s so important to take the time to stop, step back and fully feel everything.

Today is my birthday and I plan on popping some bubbly (...water) and truly celebrating myself. Where I’ve been, where I’m at and where I unapologetically know I am going.

Activities include:
✅Starbucks birthday drink
✅Juicy yoga flow with .co
✅Delish gf baked goodies care of .baker and
✅Jumping into our new pool (guys, we have a pool💦👙🤗)
✅Scheming with to make our new house a home.
✅Dinner with my love from

And yes, there will probably be a dance break or two along the way!

Yippee, I can wait to press play on today🎉🥳🎊

You can change✨

4 years ago, I was a hot mess express of burn out, stress, overwhelm, anxiety and imposter syndrome. Even treating near fellow clinicians had me all in my head. Was I doing it right? Were they judging me?

Almost every Sunday night my anxiety would build to the point where I would have a panic attack in anticipation of Monday morning.

Until one Sunday night, sitting on my bathroom floor after having a panic attack, I just decided it would be the last Sunday night I ever let that happen again.

I committed myself to change👊🏼

I took time away from clinic, I worked with a therapist, I hired a coach, I got outside, returned to things I loved, followed my heart and slowly but surely things began to shift.

And that journey lead me somewhere I could have never imagined all those Sunday nights.

That mess became my message.

Yesterday, I was afforded the opportunity to speak at the Canadian Physiotherapy Congress amongst clinicians I look up to and admire.

And I felt like I belonged there. No part of me didn’t believe I wasn’t worthy of the opportunity or worried what people would think. I just showed up as me (colourful and all) and did my thing.

And I made that past version of myself so incredibly proud.

So bottom line: YOU CAN CHANGE. Wherever you are now, whatever stories you have about yourself, it doesn't have to be it. Don’t let it be it.

You are in full control- set the intention, do the work, and the universe will support you!

Simple but not easy✨

With so much happening in our external worlds right now it can feel impossible to stay present.

To-do lists, things to remember, ruminations about what has been or worries about what may happen (and my gosh there are a lot of options!).

We all do it.

And I offer this reminder to yourself:

“Be where your feet are”

Bring yourself back to the present as much as possible. Over and over again. Maybe 90 times a day. Give tasks your full attention. Stay present with your people. Release the tendency to live life in your head.

All you have is right now. And right now. And right now.

I don’t quite have the words yet.

I do know that I would not be where I am today without Jess.

Because she showed up, was vulnerable, had big dreams and big goals, I did too.

Because she battled her demons, followed her intuition and made things happen, I did too.

She introduced me to people, possibilities and opportunities I didn’t even know existed. She was a true leader, my biggest cheerleader and greatest support.

Thank you Jess for showing me and so many others what is possible. Your legacy is massive and impact immeasurable.

If you want to support there is a page for Jess’ husband Mike and their daughter Rachel set up. Follow the link in the bio

If you knew me five years ago, you haven’t met me yet.

If you just started following me, I am so glad we are meeting now!

OG’s- thanks for following the journey!

Here’s what’s real in my world right now:

💪🏼👊🏼I am a sport and orthopaedic PT and own my own practice. After years of struggling with intense imposter syndrome, burnout and anxiety as a PT, I took action to rebuild my practice in a way that suits me. It supports me as a human first and therapist second. It reflects who I am and what I love. Is everything pink? YES. Is it perfect. ALSO YES.

💕I am over the top passionate about my role as a coach and work with women in health care as they uncover what is possible, break down their limiting beliefs and start living into their true passions. I can’t believe I get to do this work! Watch out- this profession is making moves!

👋🏼I am currently figuring out app and have been falling in love of being such a beginner and failing forward!

👖🤘🏼I am high key obsessed with these new leggings and love that they are challenging me to push my fashion limits just a smidge.

🇨🇦I live in the second best London!

🍪I’m an OG gluten free girl but man have things come a long way. I hear gluten-free Oreos now exist?! If you see them in your grocery strore- pls send.

🎶Top track on my playlist right now (and forever) is Higher Love by my gurl Whitney. Though the new album was the treat we all needed right now, right?

🌈My favourite follows right now are (her info is 🤯), (swoon at the design) (communication insights we all need) and (the memes are on point!).

Thanks for joining me on this journey. I promise not to be the same 6 months from now (except for Whitney- that’s a constant)

What’s real for you right now?
