Our EVAH Mobile team is in Northern Ontario this week and just wrapped up two days of spays, neuters and medical exams for lower income & tnr in the Temiskaming Shores region. Big shout out to their Animal Control Manager for doing a wonderful job of facilitating this program for her area’s animals in need!

Our Hamilton crew wished Dr Jennifer Ho the very very best today, as she embarks on an amazing opportunity in a dermatology residency in Alberta. We are so sincerely happy for her and thankful for her. But yes clients and staff will also miss Dr Jenn’s smile, collaborative work ethic, true EVAH team spirit approach to every shift and every patient. In Dr Jenn’s own words to EVAH: “I really appreciate you and the team for warmly welcoming me into the clinic, and allowing me to help low income families and their cherished pets!”.
Best wishes to a top notch DVM on her next chapter!

WHAT A WEEK in our EVAHs. London, Kitchener, Hamilton, and Northern ON - every day was high heat outside AND inside for a variety of reasons in ! Here’s a little compilation of smile worthy pics to wrap the week up for everyone, and can we get a THANK-YOU and job well done for our East Village Animal Hospital crew members please? They’re tired. They’re skilled. They’re trying. We are so impressed and grateful for our staff in all of our clinics, truly grateful!

Thank-you to all who have stepped up in London to assist with increasing access to veterinary care at buildings most recently hit with a parvovirus outbreak. We have provided countless mobile program vaccinations over the years but we can only do so much! This recent collaboration is refreshing and inspiring- bravo! Working together we can accomplish SO MUCH MORE!

June 21st - National Indigenous Peoples Day.
When EVAH was just a dream of Dr Martha & her small but mighty leadership team of 3, she volunteered her vet skills with a London area animal welfare group who answered pleas for help from local First Nations pet owners and band members in need. One of our foundation building blocks of who we are as a clinic, as a team, is based in our commitment to deepen our understanding of Indigenous history, listen to and share mutual knowledge, and ACTIVELY support ongoing reconciliation efforts to advance equitable access to veterinary care.
Today we encourage everyone to read the Truth and Reconciliation Report and Action Plan, and perhaps attend one of the many celebrations across the country as an ally, an advocate, a friend.
