January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month - a time to honour those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, support their families, and help fund vital research and education. This month, our Village came together with a bake sale, a hot chocolate with Baileys sale, and we wrapped up a fantastic month with a special presentation from Sara Sweeny, Public Education Coordinator at the Alzhimer's Society. We were able to raise $855! Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make a difference. Every dollar raised helps bring us one step closer to awareness, support, and hope. 💜

From cheering at home to cheering in the arena 🏒💙 We were honoured to grant a wish for a retirement home resident, May and her son, Dave to attend a Toronto Maple Leafs game—an unforgettable night for both. They embraced the cold and snow we had this week and shared so many memories together! Thank-you again to the Dream Team for making this happen! Thank-you as well to anyone who has ever donated to the Dream Team as this is an example of what your money is going towards! They were also able to share some food/drink and May got herself a souvenier!

When a community comes together, everyone feels the joy. Thank-you for the overwhelming generosity this Christmas! There are so many people to thank for making our Residents Christmas special, such as Family Council, Home Instead, Victory Christian Centre & the Marketing Team for all the wonderful gifts donated, as well as so many individuals who also gave gifts or their time today! Thank-you to everyone who worked today and put a smile on a Residents face! Merry Christmas from all of us at the Village!

Giving back, spreading joy, and sharing the true spirit of the holidays! This year, we contributed 2 bags and 5 big boxes of toys to the Toys for Tots campaign to ensure as many kids as possible have a gift under the tree, one of our Residents, Barb raised over $2500 for the London Food Bank and we had the privilege of sponsoring another family this year to help make their holiday extra special. We couldn't have done it without everyone's donations and kindness along the way! Thank-you!
