Luke is living his best life!
He has entered the stage of “I do it” and that includes his outfits!
His outfit choice today was a shirt that barely covered his belly and was alittle tight on the arms, paired with 1 rain boot and 1 shoe! I might add the boot was the wrong foot but no way was I telling him that! Also it’s not warm out but “I hot, I strong, no jacket” so again no way was I getting him to wear a jacket!
Sure is an interesting stage but he’s a happy little boy!

Luke recieved a very special Christmas present from 2 very special elves, Don and Birgit Knoll-Mcarthur - 3 tickets to watch the Leafs take on the Avalanches
He was one very excited boy, waking us up at 7, saying Toronto now?! We probably should have listened to him and left that early, roads got a little dicey the closer to Toronto we got.
So many memories were made today and watching the amazement in his eyes was priceless If you ask him what his favourite memory from the day was he would instantly say his new hockey stick and toque. Other than the weather, today was so exciting and i know he’ll talk about the blue leafs playing hockey for a long time!
We cannot thank Don and Birgit enough for the amazing gift and the extra special request from the team. Luke doesn’t understand just yet but mom and dad understand just how many family and friends are cheering Luke through everything.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts

A couple days late but it has been 2 years since Luke recieved his new liver!
He is a very busy boy who never stops moving, loves to sing, dance, jump, flip (pretty much anything that involves comstantly moving and being extrememly lo)! He’ll play anything and everything but throwing things and hockey are #1. He has gained quite the appetite and weighed in today at 16kg.
He keeps us on our toes but I wouldn’t want it any other way!

Today Luke and I made our way back to SickKids for a cardiology followup for the pulmonary stent he had done in August.
Good news! His pressure numbers have come down and the stent is holding strong. Doctors are extremely happy with everything, no further investigations are needed at this time and next followup is for 1 year!!!!!!

Back at our home away from home! It was an early but quick visit and I mean early! For the past 6-8 months Drs have been monitoring his hepatic artery for narrowing and unfortunately they can’t get an accurate measurement with ultrasound so he had a CT with contrast done this mornong. If it shows what the ultrasound shows they will leave it and just monitor for now but if it is worse then the transplant team will discuss and come up with a plan for the next step.
Luke’s doing great and unfazed by the 4am wake up, mom on the other hand is ready for a nap!

2 years ago (yesterday) Luke and I packed up our things and moved up to Toronto. Since then a lot has changed - he’s turned into a LOUD energizer toddler, learned some new tricks and stories, turned into a good little helper (when he wants to be) and weighs in at 15.4kg He still loves a good broom, music and melting the hearts of everyone. Most importantly he is still super brave when it comes to Drs. and tests.
It has been amazing to see how far he has come and can’t wait to see what the next year brings.

Luke would like to say Happy Halloween!
Clark Kent during the day and Dracula at night! But if you ask him he was a ghost!
He had so much fun today and I think we will playing trick or treat all weekend!

Big day in Luke’s world (and also moms!)
First Day of School (daycare)
He loved it, walked in like he owned the place and didn’t want to leave at the end! Teachers said he never stopped moving or smiling and wasn’t too sure about nap/quiet time!
I’d say it was a success

Luke was welcomed as an honorary member of the Superior Classic Car Club today! We can’t thank everyone involved enough. It was extra special for Luke to experience just how much the small town of Terrace Bay looks out for their past, present and you just never know maybe future residents. I’m sure in 14 years he’ll be telling me he’s going to race at the Terrace Bay Dragfest!
We would like to congratulate the club on all their hard work prepping for this weekends Dragfest and if you need any help Luke is great with a broom!
