You’ll learn how you can help by:

🤝 Volunteering to help pack or deliver supplies

Together we can help bring essential medical supplies to communities around the world.

Yesterday at Grand Wood Park was nothing short of extraordinary! 🍀✨

We brought St. Patrick’s Day to life with an all-day celebration that was truly one for the books. Thanks to the vision, creativity, and dedication of our Recreation Manager, Jessica, our residents set off on a one-of-a-kind pub crawl—traveling from room to room as each space transformed into its own festive tavern filled with interactive games, laughter, and unforgettable moments. The energy, the smiles, and the pure joy shared throughout the day were absolutely incredible.

And of course—it wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day without wearing green! 💚 Our amazing staff fully embraced the spirit of the day, dressing head-to-toe in green and jumping right in on the fun alongside our residents. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and genuine care helped make the celebration even more special. 🥰

The celebration didn’t stop there! We ended on a high note with the talented Larry the Piano Man, who had the whole room alive with music, laughter, singing, and clapping. It was the kind of performance that brings everyone together and leaves lasting memories.

Of course, no celebration is complete without amazing treats, and our culinary team truly outdid themselves—shamrock shake cupcakes, rainbow jello, fruit cups, and lucky charm rice krispy squares that added the perfect festive touch!

Days like today are what it’s all about—creating meaningful experiences, sparking joy, and making every moment count for our residents. 💚 What a celebration!

🍀 What a wonderful evening at Grand Wood Park! 🍀

We were so happy to welcome our guests into the dining room to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day together. The room was filled with great company, laughter, and the warmth of community 💚

Our culinary team truly outdid themselves with a delicious menu featuring a beautifully prepared salmon topped with a rich Irish whiskey sauce, alongside a classic corned beef dinner that brought all the traditional flavours to the table 🇮🇪🍽️

A very special thank you to Lula, our extraordinary server, and Olga, our talented chef and Manager of Culinary Experience for delivering such an incredible dining experience. Your care, attention, and passion truly made the evening unforgettable 🙌✨

Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about the meal, it’s about the connections, the smiles, and the memories we create together.

🌱 **Gardening Club Is Getting Started!** 🌱

Our **Gardening Club** is already getting a head start on the season by planting seeds indoors so they’ll be ready for our **garden planter boxes** when the warmer weather arrives.

Residents are excited to help **bring life back into the garden** as we grow a variety of **flowers, fresh vegetables, and herbs**. We’re especially looking forward to harvesting some of our own produce that can be enjoyed as **healthy snacks** or shared with the **kitchen to help enhance meals**.

There’s something special about planting, nurturing, and watching our garden grow together. We can’t wait to see everything bloom this season! 🌼🥕🌿

🍀 **Pipe Cleaner Craft – Shamrock Rings** 🍀

We had a wonderful time getting creative with a **pipe cleaner craft**, making our very own **three-leaf clover rings**! This activity was **super easy and fun**, making it perfect for **any resident to participate** and enjoy.

There were lots of smiles and laughs as we twisted and shaped our shamrocks into something we can **wear and add to our outfits for St. Patrick’s Day**. 🍀💚

This craft also fit perfectly with our **virtual travels to Ireland this month**, bringing a little extra Irish spirit to our day!

🎨 **Watercolor Painting with Val** 🖌️

Our monthly **Watercolor Painting with Val** is always a wonderful time! This relaxing and creative session is open to everyone — **you don’t need to be an artist to join in and be part of the experience.**

Residents come together to explore watercolor techniques, express their creativity, and enjoy the calming atmosphere. It’s no surprise that **many residents look forward to this event each month!**

Thank you, Val, for guiding us through such an enjoyable and inspiring activity. We can’t wait for the next session! 🎨✨

❄️🏅 Grandwood Park Winter Olympics 🏅❄️

What an amazing time we had at the Grandwood Park Winter Olympics! Our athletes brought their energy and competitive spirit to a series of fun events including Timed Table Skating, Roomba Rumble, Don’t Touch the Color, Chair Curling, and Snowball Toss. There were plenty of laughs, great teamwork, and lots of cheering all around!

We wrapped up the festivities with a Closing Ceremony, where everyone enjoyed some wonderful snacks and we proudly celebrated all of our athletes and their awards. It was a fantastic way to end a day full of fun, friendly competition, and community spirit.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the event such a success! 🎉

We gathered together for a fun evening of Winter Olympics trivia, sharing interesting Did You Know? facts before watching the Opening Ceremony live on the big screen. It was a great way to kick off the Games together!
