What a night out for our Grand Wood Park Retirement Residence family! 🎉💙

We headed over to the Wortley Roadhouse for dinner and live music, and it was exactly what we needed. The food was great, the company was even better, and once the Pocket Rockets hit the stage… well, the dancing didn’t stop! 💃🕺

So much laughter, amazing music, and wonderful memories made together. Nights like these remind us how lucky we are to share these moments with our residents. ❤️

🥒💚 Happy National Pickle Day from Grand Wood Park! 💚🥒
Today was kind of a big dill… and all thanks to our amazing Manager of Recreation, who showed up fully dressed as a PICKLE to bring the fun and laughter to our community! 😄👏

Our residents enjoyed a special pickle tasting tray right at their tables, from sweet to sour to zingy and everything in between! 🥒✨

It’s days like this that remind us how lucky we are to have such creative, dedicated team members who go above and beyond to make everyday moments unforgettable. 💚

Today at Grand Wood Park, we paused together to remember. ❤️🌺

Residents, families, children from the daycare and team members gathered for a special Remembrance Day ceremony filled with music, stories, and quiet reflection. We honoured the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today, and we are especially grateful for the veterans who call Grand Wood Park home.

With poppies on our hearts and two minutes of silence, we remembered those who never came home, those who returned forever changed, and the families who stood behind them.

🕊️ We will remember them.

Yesterday, our staff and residents rolled up their sleeves for their flu shots, and some even received their COVID vaccine too! 🩺✨

🎲 Happy National Monopoly Day! 🎲

To mark the occasion, our Manager of Recreation created a gigantic Monopoly board — and it was a huge hit! Residents had so much fun rolling the dice, buying up properties, and cheering each other on. The laughter and friendly competition filled the room, making for a truly special day together. ❤️

🎃👻 What a Spooktacular Halloween! 👻🎃

We wrapped up our Halloween Spirit Week with an unforgettable Monster Mash Party — and what a blast it was! Residents showed off their creative costumes, decorated walkers, had a pumpkin contest, and indulged in endless amounts of candy. 🍬🎨💀

The fun didn’t stop there — our friends from the daycare joined in for a costume show-off that had everyone smiling from ear to ear! From laughter and dancing to sweet treats and spooky vibes, it was the perfect way to celebrate the season and spoil our residents with Halloween cheer. 🧡🎶

💙⚾️ Even though the Jays didn’t take home the World Series win, we had an amazing time cheering them on together! From peanuts and popcorn to laughter and team spirit, it was all about the memories we made as loyal fans. 💪💙

We’ll be ready again next season, because once a Jays fan, always a Jays fan! 🧢🇨🇦
