Prenatally, you will be given information about what to expect and when to notify your midwife that you are in labour. Often a midwife will come to your home to assess you during labour. We will be present during your active labour and birth, and stay until 2 to 4 hours after the birth. In the first week after the birth, we will come to you to provide three postpartum visits.
