We have had this question quite a bit lately... How do I use Biological Indicators...

You must use 2 x BI's every 24hrs that you are going to use your autoclave... you can do as many loads as you want, in 24 hrs... but once that 24hrs is up, start over...

If you are not sure you are using the BI's properly and you are scared to ask on this post, please email cpc@cpchealthcare.on.ca, and we will help you....

Meet Dr. Evan Lewis...

Dr. Evan Lewis ( Mr. Neuropathy ) is a researcher, innovator, and executive leader dedicated to bridging science and everyday healthcare practice. He earned his PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto, where his research led to the first clinical reference standards for the early detection of diabetic neuropathy and demonstrated that omega-3 therapy can regenerate nerve tissue in diabetes.

Building on this foundation, Dr. Lewis founded Nutarniq Corp., translating his discoveries into a commercial therapy for nerve health, and later co-founded VIIVIO App, an evidence-based digital health platform integrating lifestyle and performance analytics. As a post-doctoral fellow at Sinai Health and the University Health Network, he led federally funded clinical trials and continues to advise organizations on health technology, AI, and evidence-based innovation.

Currently, Dr. Lewis serves as Head of Customer Excellence SMARTBUILD, where he leads AI-driven initiatives that enhance human performance and safety in complex work environments. His career reflects a consistent mission—empowering professionals with the tools and confidence to translate science into meaningful, real-world outcomes.

Meet Janis Boudreau,

Founder & Owner, Advanced Foot Care Nurse & Wellness Centre & AFCN Learning Institute

Janis Boudreau is a respected Advanced Foot Care Nurse, entrepreneur, and educator whose vision and leadership have significantly shaped the landscape of preventative foot health in Canada. As the founder and owner of the Advanced Foot Care Nurse & Wellness Centre and the AFCN Learning Institute, she has built two nationally recognized organizations rooted in excellence, compassion, and innovation.

With more than two decades of nursing experience, Janis’s clinical journey began in community and acute-care settings, where she quickly identified a critical gap in accessible, high-quality foot care—particularly for seniors, diabetics, and individuals living with chronic conditions. Guided by her belief that proper foot health is essential to overall well-being, she established the Advanced Foot Care Nurse & Wellness Centre, which has grown into one of Ontario’s most comprehensive and trusted foot care providers. Today, the organization proudly operates four clinics, a dedicated home-care division, and maintains over 25 facility contracts across Ontario, delivering essential foot care services to long-term care homes, retirement residences, and community health programs.

Recognizing the need for more skilled clinicians, Janis expanded her impact by founding the AFCN Learning Institute, an educational hub committed to elevating the practice of foot care nursing nationally. Under her leadership, the Institute has evolved into a thriving professional training centre with 20 clinical partner educators across Canada, providing nurses with advanced, evidence-based training and mentorship. Through this nationwide network, Janis has empowered countless nurses to build successful practices and deliver high-quality care in their own communities.

Known for her warmth, expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence, Janis continues to be a mentor, advocate, and industry leader.
