Uterine Fibroids & Fertility: What You Need to Know
Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus, and they’re more common than you might think — up to 70% of women will develop them at some point!
But do they affect fertility?
Sometimes, yes. Fibroids can impact fertility by:
✨ Changing the shape of the uterus
✨ Blocking the fallopian tubes
✨ Affecting blood flow to the uterine lining
However, not all fibroids cause problems. Many people conceive and carry healthy pregnancies even with fibroids present.
What can you do?
✔️ Get checked if you’re having heavy periods, pelvic pain, or trouble conceiving
✔️ Explore treatment options (there are many!)
✔️ Work with a healthcare provider to make a personalized plan
Remember: Knowledge is power when it comes to your fertility journey!
