Lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), is a type of blood lipoprotein known as low-density lipoprotein (LDL), often referred to as "bad cholesterol." High Lp(a) levels are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease, stroke, and aortic stenosis. Unlike other lipoproteins, Lp(a) levels are primarily determined by genetics and are less affected by lifestyle modifications. Elevated Lp(a) can lead to fatty deposits in arteries, heightening the risk of heart attacks and other cardiovascular issues. To join our study, Contact us today for more information.
