Urgent Hiring: Compassionate Palliative Caregiver – North London
We are seeking a dedicated and gentle caregiver to provide essential home support in the North London area near Wonderland Rd and Fanshawe Park Rd. This role is vital for providing comfort, dignity, and specialized care during a sensitive time.
Seeking someone available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
Key Responsibilities
Based on our client's specific daily routine, your duties will include:
Morning Care & Hygiene: Waking the client gently, assisting with toileting, and providing daily showers or sponge baths.
* **Grooming & Skin Care:** Assisting with dressing, brushing teeth, shaving, and applying moisturizing creams.
* **Meal Support:** Serving breakfast, encouraging hydration, and managing light kitchen cleanup, such as dishes and sweeping.
* **Medication Assistance:** Prompting the client to take scheduled medications and observing the process.
* **Mobility & Physical Comfort:** Assisting with transfers to a living room chair, ensuring legs are elevated, and leading gentle stretches or light massages.
* **Social & Emotional Engagement:** Engaging the client with music, reading aloud, games, or media such as Netflix and YouTube.
* **Light Housekeeping:** Making the bed and handling laundry if linens are soiled.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Proven experience in palliative or end-of-life care is highly preferred.
* A compassionate, patient, and empathetic personality.
* Reliable transportation to the North London/Wonderland and Fanshawe area.
*Ability to follow a detailed care plan with high attention to detail and respect for the home environment.
