We are featuring Sutureloc, meniscus root repair, which is now available in Canada. Dr Mike Pickell and Dr Bogdan A. Matache (left) were the first in Canada to perform this innovative knee procedure to restore meniscus function.

Dr Parth Lodhia (right) from UBC used the Arthrex Sutureloc for medial root repair. This was the first one used in Western Canada.

We had some surgeons by our Tribe Montreal lab before OTA last week and had some great didactic and hands on training. Dr Jonah Davies presented on Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty and Dr JD Adams took us through his use of the FibuLock fibular nail system.

Last week we had a few of our Technology Associates at our National Education Centre in Mississauga to get some hands on lab experience from our Clinical Specialists. Here is Dr Flores guiding Carl through some of the finer points of an Achilles Repair. Owen and Madeline watch on as they all prepare for the upcoming Arthrex IOT Specialist Training.

All of them started just under a year ago and are all very proficient in the field with the help of the MedEd team and their territory teammates.

Congratulations to our new group of Arthrex Technology Specialists. All of them completed their IOT (Initial On-Site Training) down in Naples Florida. A Shout out to Derrick Wong from GTA East for placing 2nd out of 75!

All of them attended local training in Toronto back in January to prepare for these 5 days of intense training and product knowledge. Tribe new hires typically spend 9 months to a year in their territory learning from their colleagues and Territory Managers, as well as group sessions with Tribe MedED.

Tribe and Arthrex pride themselves on comprehensive training and education. It equips these new Technology Specialists with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better. Good luck and we look forward to seeing you progress towards Technology Consultant.

Ever tried to organize a bunch of similar coloured wires behind a TV? It’s easier when you can tell which is which, isn’t it? That’s the idea behind the newly approved in 🇨🇦, Black and Blue coloured FiberTape. Each colour helps surgeons keep the proper sutures in order. The three medial 2.6mm FiberTaks apply the desired amount of tension and pressure while ensuring the tendon is snug against the bone for a reproducible repair!
