Lunch and Learn is Back! Check Out the Highlights!! 🍽️📚

The importance of training and continuous learning cannot be overstated. That’s why we’re excited to share that our Lunch and Learn sessions are back!

So far this year, we’ve hosted three engaging sessions focused on Abuse and Neglect and The Power of Rapport in Senior Care. These sessions bring together our incredible caregivers to learn, connect, and share valuable insights.

The discussions were both informative and inspiring. Caregivers openly shared real-life experiences, explored best practices, and reaffirmed their commitment to providing safe, respectful, and compassionate care.

A big thank you to all our caregivers who participated and contributed to these meaningful conversations. We look forward to hosting more educational and informative sessions that continue to strengthen knowledge, skills, and collaboration among our caregivers. 🌟

Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. This day serves as a vital opportunity for communities across Canada—and around the world—to deepen understanding and raise awareness about the abuse and neglect experienced by older adults. It also highlights the cultural, social, economic, and demographic factors that contribute to this serious issue.

In Canada, approximately 8.2% of older adults report experiencing some form of abuse, including physical, emotional, financial, or neglect. With an aging population, this number may be underreported and is expected to rise unless meaningful action is taken.

We all have a role to play in ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of our elders. By staying informed, speaking out, and supporting vulnerable members of our communities, we can help prevent elder abuse and build a more compassionate society.
