Everyday Strategies (Week 4)
Every week, I will provide you with one strategy that you can implement at home or in the comfort of your own space. These techniques will be therapeutic, holistic, or relaxational. We can use these strategies for 5 minutes a day, at any time, whether in the morning, midday, or at night, whenever you need them. You can be in the middle of a lot going on, and just take 5 minutes for yourself.
Today's technique is called Emotional Freedom Technique(EFT) or tapping. Nick Ortner wrote a great book on this called The Tapping Solution. So check this out for more information. Use this technique whenever you're stressed, anxious, or something is triggering you, or it can be when you're feeling pain, or have had a recent diagnosis. This can be used for a variety of things impacting you, to help to reduce the trigger over time, or calm or regulate your nervous system when something is happening.
