Many Londoner's have been asking... Others are posting... And some are just curious..."Is there going to be Bouldering?"
We are extremely excited and pleased to announce that the answer to this is...YES!!
Le Bloc Bouldering & Yoga Centre is projected to be opening in North London, mid to late July 2014. There will be 6800 square feet of bouldering, in conjunction with what will be London's newest Premier Yoga studio.
We are also stoked to have Louie Anderson. An accomplished writer "The Art of Course Setting", climbing facility designer and owner of "The Factory Bouldering" in Orange, California. Louie has designed and constructed over 100 wall builds, some of these include SLO-Op Climbing in California, Beta Bouldering in Arizona, Desert Rocks, California, Hangar 18 (all 7 locations) California. Louie has been quoted as the "Man", "Myth" and "Legend" And now a perfect fit for London!
Many factors were taken into account when seeking the "perfect" location. The biggest being, what will suit Londoner's best? Building size and the ability to accommodate bouldering and yoga. Ceiling height. Closeness to major amenities. Parking and public transportation. All criteria was met, with a location chosen at Fanshawe Park Road and Hyde Park Road.
