What I’m All About...
I’m a spiritually aligned Certified Anusara®Yoga Teacher ▪ Naturotherapist ▪ Travel enthusiast ▪ Energy & Environmental “healer”. My intention is to inspire and help guide people towards living in alignment with their own inner wisdom and with life’s abundance. My classes are designed to bridge the gap between the physical yoga practice and the more philosophical and spiritual practice of this great tradition. Through the body we can understand the Universe!
I don’t just instruct, I teach. I wish for my students to leave feeling like they learned something about themselves that they can then take and apply to their daily lives. Yoga is not meant to be just a physical practice, it is meant to take us somewhere. It is meant to shed our layers of limitation and ignorance (ignorance not necessarily being a bad thing, just a fact that keeps the truth about who we are and what life is all about hidden from our view).
The best classes that I’ve been to have opened me up to new possibilities that I later went on exploring. Whether it was a new way of holding my body that would help resolve an injury or pain, or a teaching that touched me in a way that I had no choice but to see the world in a brighter light. Not all classes will have the same of impact. Most classes plant seeds of transformation that weeks, months, or years later you look back and you say, “Wow, I never noticed, but things have really changed since back then.” But what is important is that we continue to practice, even if our practice is just to hold faith that the positive seeds that were planted in the past will continue to grow through our faith and optimism.
Celebrating the little transformations as they appear, is another thing that I try to remember in my own practice and as I teach. Knowing very well that the small things matter, and that many small transformations lead to bigger shifts and life changing moments. This is a big part of the Yogic Journey: Opening our minds to transformation, but at the same time being willingly patient and grateful for the small victories/messages/lessons that are meant for us along the way.
