There’s continued education, and then there’s this.
This past weekend I got to delve into the world of aviation medicine, and I got to learn about in insights of helping people at altitude, alongside colleagues that I look up to.
Double bonus: I ended up sitting at a table with 3 physicians from my hometown of Hong Kong 🇭🇰
Triple bonus: overcoming a longtime fear of being in an air crash, and practicing all the procedures in an actual flight simulator. I even got to go down the emergency slide!
Beyond blessed for the opportunity. Hopefully this will be the only time I put an oxygen mask over my face. Or access an airplane first aid kit, but if the worst happens, I’ll be prepared to help.

1 of these things is not like the others 🚲🚲🤪
It'll be 4 years since I embarked on the bike-commuter lifestyle. Other than a fall 2 years ago (hence new bike) no regrets.
It allows me to get some fresh air and natural sunlight.
It allows me to leave the family car for my spouse.
It keeps me in shape (somewhat), and it keeps me accountable to myself.
It allows me to be a good example for everyone, from my family, to my patients, and even my colleagues!
I believe in my heart of hearts that there's a way for all of us to stay physically active, no matter how busy our lives.

A friendly reminder to all parents that we can indeed move and stay active with our children during this March break!
Have fun together, sweat, and try to not fall! (Don’t do like me 🤕)

Forever grateful every time I get to wear my flag 🇨🇦(Just not as cool as and 😅)📸:

鄉下
In Cantonese it means “ancestral home” or “hometown”.
This trip was unlike any other. I got to do my day job, working with some amazing athletes, and getting to be front row as they defy gravity and soar to new heights.
And all this, in my hometown, and sharing my hometown with friends new, old, and REALLY old 😆
I’m glad I got to return to my hometown and do what I do. But for me, home is 🇨🇦.

Grateful to work shoulder to shoulder with the best in what we do.

On the road again.
This will be a special trip, as I will be supporting our Canadian athletes 🇨🇦 in my birthplace 🇭🇰
Double bonus: traveling at the same time as my sister 🤦‍♂️
Be home soon girls. Off to work.

This week’s social media is also a bit of a quiz 😆
I’m spending the 2 weekends around my birthday doing what drives me: helping people. Or in this case learning how to help people.
Yup. Continued education.
I do cont ed every year not just because I have to 😅 but also because I’m always learning about my craft, and finding new ways to help people better.
But this… this is what we did yesterday.
Guess what course I’m doing 😁

“Being in pain sucks. I want to help.”

As a former university rugby player, Rick is passionate about pain and injury, and how to help people get better. With degrees in Athletic Therapy (Concordia) and Osteopathy (CEO). Rick's journey has led him to acquire multiple skill sets (osteopathic techniques, Postural Restoration techniques, kinesiology taping, therapeutic cupping, IASTM, and more) and has led him around the world (over 18 countries) working with some amazing people.

When Rick isn't busy helping people or traveling across the world, you can find Rick with his other passion: playing and spending time with his daughter.
