Babies hit many milestones while they are on the floor! Every part of their body will benefit from tummy time!

As far as sleep goes, there are many benefits as well! Being outside of someone’s arms is great practice for independent sleep. It gives them opportunity to get comfortable being on their own for a short period! 🥰
Tummy time is also your opportunity to work on rolling both directions, which is helpful for sleep! Once your baby is able to roll both ways (back to tummy and tummy to back!), then they are strong enough to sleep in any position they choose! 💤
