A few jobs from last week including some reduction, shaping and cosmetic pruning of a hornbeam hedge globe spruce and weeping beech, along with some bigger sugar maple climbs than included pruning of deadwood, limb reduction and support cable adjustment or replacement . One of the older cobra cables , improperly installed be another service provider, was it installed directly abutting the central stem, resulting in significant wear and failure of the cable. We replaced it with a new steel cable and a slightly different position to avoid any chance of wear. If your trees have support cables, ensure that you have them inspected regularly for these possible issues.. thanks Nick and Caroline for your assistance.

Update on a soil conditioning project to rejuvenate these pin oaks with severe iron chlorosis that were on the verge of being removed that we started in 2022. Photos from September 2023 and August 2025. Proof that having the knowledge, determination, the necessary tools and patience are key when saving trees. Unfortunately sometimes trees are planted in the wrong location for maximum longevity. This Lovely Linden was unfortunately was causing damage to adjacent structures and removal was the best long term option. Had an amazing day with my friends , thanks for the assistance! It’s great to collaborate with friends with bigger toys to tackle the bigger jobs.

Pruning this huge Silver Maple in Alliston by clearing hazardous deadwood, providing increased clearances for structures, reducing limbs to allow for better light pe*******on and for aesthetics. We have been caring for this tree since 2018 and every time we are here we are amazed by its majesty.
