1 in 5 teens has some degree of hearing loss. Often this is noise induced and could be prevented. It is important to remember that even listening to just one song at full volume with your headphones could do permanent damage to your hearing. That’s why it is important to protect your hearing when using headphones by:

1) Keeping your headphone volume low. Never turn it up over half volume.
2) Limiting the amount of time you use headphones in the day.
3) Not turning up your volume to drown out background noise. Use noise cancelling headphones to block it out instead.
