Maritime Cremation Centre & J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. is seeking a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our team.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who:
• Is passionate about serving families with dignity and respect
• Thrives in a team-oriented environment
• Holds a valid NS Funeral Director and Embalmer License in good standing
• Presents a professional appearance and maintains a clear driving record
• Exceptional active listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Proficient using MS Office (Word, Excel) and funeral software
• Experience operating a retort would be an asset

Position Details:
• Competitive Salary & benefits
• On-call duty every other week
• Ability to work between two locations

COVID Restrictions Update – Tuesday, June 29, 2021

In adherence with Public Health Protocols, we continue to ask screening questions upon entry, along with collecting contact tracing information. Funeral Services can now be held with up to 50 guests with social distancing. Funeral Receptions and Visitations are not permitted at this time.

Travel from outside of Atlantic Canada is now permitted for attending funerals or services (like a burial or celebration of life). For further information on travel guidelines, please visit novascotia.ca/coronavirus
