Red Spruce Medical Practice Dr Sarah Rushworth arrived in Nova Scotia in July 2021 and has been a physician since 2005.

Red Spruce Medical Practice was born in September 2023 and is named after the provincial tree of Nova Scotia, the red spruce, which is said to have medicinal properties. Red Spruce Medical consists of two UK trained physicians who have joined their practices together in Nova Scotia to provide medical services within their community. She trained as a gastroenterologist in the North West of England

before qualifying as a GP in 2015. Her special interests include paediatrics, in particular child protection and safeguarding, vulnerable adults and mental health. Dr Lilian Nwogu came to Nova Scotia in 2020 and is a dedicated family physician who has a special interest in Women's Health.
