My story

“Some souls are shaped not by ease, but by how many times they are asked to begin again.”

I often wonder if the moments I stood at the edge of life—four times in total—carry a message meant only for me. Not as fear, but as an invitation. A quiet question whispered by something greater: Are you listening yet? I am still here, and I know that is not by accident.

I have carried the weight of self-employment, responsibility, and survival for over a decade—often alone, often unseen. I walked through profound physical changes and deep emotional neglect alongside a man who did not truly see me, hold me, or hear me. That absence magnified everything I was already carrying. My body bore trauma through two car accidents, hospital stays, and the terrifying closeness of death from rhabdomyolysis—twice hospitalized, my system pushed beyond its limits, my spirit forced to reckon with impermanence.

For twenty years, I remained with a man who betrayed me throughout, slowly unraveling my sense of safety and self-worth. For ten years, I built my own livelihood from the ground up, knowing a pressure few understand until they live it—the constant responsibility, the uncertainty, the strength it demands. Twice, I uprooted my healing business, leaving behind clients, community, and everything familiar, and each time I started again from nothing but faith in myself.

I released two beautiful homes, crossed the country from one coast to the other, and eventually returned “home” for five months to a family who no longer knew who I truly am. After twenty years away, I had grown into someone they had never met. I was also separated from my granddaughter for two years due to a disagreement that cost me more than words can explain.

Now, I sit with the grief of a changing body, the soft loss of sexual energy shaped by aging and accumulated trauma. This touches me deeply, because intimacy lives at my core—it is woven into my design, my way of connecting, loving, and being. To feel distance from that part of myself is not small; it is profoundly personal.

This is not simply a story of hardship. It is the story of a woman who has been broken open again and again—and still chooses to rebuild. A woman who wonders why she was spared so many times, and what truth she is being asked to embody next. I am still here. And I believe that means something sacred is still unfolding.

After an important chapter in Nova Scotia, I’m preparing to move on to what’s next. Living here has been a valuable experience, offering space for reflection, growth, and a deeper appreciation for the province’s natural beauty.

As this chapter comes to a close, I’m looking ahead with clarity and intention. I’m grateful for the lessons learned along the way and excited to apply them in the next phase of my journey.

Thank you, Nova Scotia, for the time and the experience. 🌊

The Woman Who Went Quiet

You didn’t shut down because you’re broken.
You shut down because it was safer
than staying open in a world that kept asking.

Asking you to hold it together.
Asking you to be available.
Asking you to give when you were already empty.

So your body learned a smarter language.
Numbness.
Tension.
That low, constant irritation
that lives just under the skin.

That wasn’t failure.
That was protection.

No one taught you how to rest inside yourself
without being needed.
No one taught you that desire doesn’t bloom
under pressure,
that resentment is often grief
with no place to land.

There is nothing wrong with your body.
It is not cold.
It is not dead.
It is waiting.

Waiting for touch that doesn’t lean forward.
Waiting for presence that doesn’t want a return.
Waiting for permission to feel
without having to explain why.

Healing doesn’t start with wanting more.
It starts with feeling safe enough to feel at all.

Ta**ra is not a demand.
It is an invitation.

An invitation to soften the jaw.
To let the belly rise.
To breathe where you learned to brace.

An invitation to stop performing wellness
and let the truth move through you—
slow, honest, unpolished.

You don’t have to forgive.
You don’t have to open.
You don’t have to be ready.

You only have to listen
to the quiet place inside you
that still knows how to feel warmth.

That place hasn’t gone anywhere.

It’s just been waiting
for you to come back.

I’m curious 😘, what do you love about me most 😉 ?

A massage is about healthcare. It’s not a luxury.

========

People look at me some sort of way when I say I get a massage at least once a month — so let’s clear something up.

Massage is healthcare. Period.

It regulates the nervous system.
It lowers stress hormones.
It improves circulation and lymphatic flow.
It reduces chronic tension before it becomes chronic pain.
It supports sleep, digestion, hormones, posture, and mental clarity.

Most of what we’re walking around calling “normal” — tight shoulders, jaw pain, headaches, poor sleep, burnout — is a body that hasn’t been given a chance to release.

Touch is a biological need, not a luxury.
Maintenance is smarter than crisis care.
Prevention is still healthcare.

I don’t wait until my body is screaming to listen.
I don’t believe care has to hurt to count.
And I refuse to treat regulation like an indulgence.

Luxury is excess.
Massage is maintenance.

Treat yourself like someone you love — because that is healthcare.

I do not pay for or carry health insurance the way most people do. Massage is my assurance that my body can heal itself if I take care of her.

Get ahold of your local massage therapist and get ahold of your selfcare.

Massage therapists also take note that what you use on our skin, can multiply the benefits! Especially products like Mystical Mindset Medicinals
